Zambia Airways to Launch Lusaka–Harare Flights Starting 17 June 2025

Zambia Airways says it has completed preparations to introduce scheduled flights from Lusaka to Harare in Zimbabwe from 17th June 2025.

Zambia Airways Chief Executive Officer Thomas Gebreyohannes Woldesenbet said in a statement released in Lusaka that the airline would add three weekly flights to Harare on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to its growing regional  network. 

This means Customers can now book their flights on the newly introduced route as well as the rest of Zambia Airways route network on the airline website or through preferred agents.

Mr Woldesenbet said the Harare route was not just about connecting two cities but that it also about connecting people, cultures and economies .

He said the new route would strengthen air connectivity between the two capital cities, which was essential for fostering regional corporation and boosting bilateral trade.

He ephasised that the the route from Zambia to Zimbabwe opened new opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs in both countries, adding that the frequency also facilitated the movement of goods and services and provided easier access for tourists who were eager to explore the rich cultural and natural attractions that Zambia and Zimbabwe offered. 

He further said the the route was a meaningful contribution to the broader vision of regional integration and promoted commerce and trade.

Zambia Airways currently provides scheduled services to Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam Nairobi and serves for domestic airports, which are  Ndola, Livingstone, Lusaka and Solwezi.
