Davis & Shirtliff Partners with Flowserve to Boost Industrial Efficiency in Zambia
Davis & Shirtliff, Africa’s top provider of water and energy solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with U.S.-based Flowserve Corporation to increase access to premium industrial pumps and seals across Zambia and surrounding markets.
The partnership combines Davis & Shirtliff’s regional reach with Flowserve’s cutting-edge fluid control technology to deliver durable, high-efficiency solutions for various industries.
Through this collaboration, Davis & Shirtliff now supplies a broader range of Flowserve’s top-tier products, including DURCO Mark 3 chemical pumps, ISOMAG and Innomag magnetic drive pumps, vacuum and multi-stage pumps, as well as advanced mechanical seals and predictive maintenance systems.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Flowserve to provide industrial companies in Zambia with high-quality and durable pump and seal products,” said Jonathan Mainga, Managing Director of Davis & Shirtliff Zambia. “These technologies will help customers enhance energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability within their operations.”
The industrial sector in Zambia contributes approximately 35% to the nation’s GDP. This partnership is expected to significantly benefit industries such as chemicals, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, mining, and general manufacturing across Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, and Uganda.
A standout offering is Flowserve’s RedRaven, an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled predictive maintenance solution that allows real-time monitoring and analysis of industrial equipment. The platform enables operators to prevent failures, reduce downtime, and cut operational costs.
“Addressing the energy transition is central to Flowserve’s business strategy,” said Danillo Petritti, Sales Director for Africa and SW Europe at Flowserve. “Our goal is to help both traditional and emerging markets decarbonize, digitize, and diversify operations for a more sustainable future.”
The collaboration also aligns with Zambia’s environmental commitments by helping companies meet new climate-related regulations through efficient technologies that reduce emissions, water usage, and total cost of ownership.
Founded in 1946, Davis & Shirtliff operates in nine African countries and remains a leader in providing water and energy solutions. Flowserve, listed on the New York Stock Exchange and operating in over 50 countries, brings more than two centuries of expertise in flow management.
This partnership sets the stage for a more sustainable, resilient, and efficient industrial future in Zambia and the broader Southern African region.
