MTN Group and Synamedia Partner to Develop Pan-African Streaming Platform
MTN Group, Africa’s leading mobile network operator, has announced a strategic partnership with Synamedia, a top video software provider, to launch a new streaming platform designed specifically for mobile and fixed broadband subscribers across Africa.
This collaboration aims to revolutionize digital content accessibility and cater to the diverse viewing preferences of African audiences.
The platform will utilize Synamedia’s advanced, cloud-based technologies to deliver a combination of linear television and video-on-demand content. It will feature multiple monetization models, including subscriptions, ad-supported content, and free streaming channels with targeted advertising. To ensure relevance and appeal, each market will have a tailored content strategy reflecting local cultures, languages, and viewing habits.
