President Hichilema Receives Credentials from Newly Appointed Envoys

President Hakainde Hichilema received letters of credence from newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners in a formal ceremony at State House, marking the official commencement of their diplomatic duties in Zambia.

The newly accredited envoys represent India, Belarus, Bangladesh, and Canada. President Hichilema emphasized Zambia’s commitment to fostering strong diplomatic ties, highlighting the significance of bilateral cooperation in achieving peace, security, and economic development.

He urged the diplomats, especially those residing outside Zambia, to consider relocating to the country, stating that such a move would enhance communication and reduce unnecessary travel burdens. 

He further reiterated the government’s dedication to strengthening partnerships, promoting investment, and facilitating joint ventures between Zambia and the represented nations.

Recognizing the potential for deeper collaboration, President Hichilema acknowledged the positive strides already made in relations with Belarus and Bangladesh and expressed the desire to expand these engagements. 

He commended the economic progress achieved by all represented countries, noting that their development has the potential to uplift communities and foster prosperity.

The President also called for coordinated efforts among various sectors of the Zambian Government and diplomatic teams to advance mutual objectives. 

He encouraged the envoys to work closely with Zambian ministers to implement meaningful projects that drive investment, trade, and social development.
