FNB Zambia is celebrating 16 years of transformative banking, marking a journey defined by innovation, customer-centric solutions, and community impact. Since its inception in 2009, the bank has evolved from a challenger brand to one of the top four banks in Zambia, driven by a culture of agility and forward-thinking solutions.

Under this year’s anniversary theme, “Next is Now,” FNB Zambia reflects on key achievements that have shaped its trajectory while embracing the future of banking in the country.

Commitment to People and Inclusion FNB Zambia’s success is deeply rooted in its commitment to people. The bank has achieved a fully Zambian-led executive team, with 50% gender representation, reinforcing its dedication to diversity and local leadership. 

Through its Young Talent Development Programme and robust Employee Value Proposition (EVP), the bank continues to nurture future-ready talent and create a world-class employee experience.

Innovating for Accessibility and Sustainability A leader in banking accessibility, FNB Zambia introduced Banking on Wheels, mobile banking vans designed to bring financial services to underserved communities. The bank’s HER Banking proposition empowers women entrepreneurs and professionals through tailored financial products, networking opportunities, and financial literacy tools.

FNB Zambia is also championing green banking, with 16 branches now powered by solar energy as part of its sustainability efforts. Additionally, continued investment in digital banking has transformed how customers transact and manage their finances seamlessly.

A Legacy of Community Engagement Beyond banking, FNB Zambia has built a strong presence in the community through initiatives such as the FNB Kopala Run, one of Zambia’s most anticipated wellness events, promoting health, unity, and resilience.
