Mosi Day of Thunder 2025 Countdown Begins with an Electrifying Lineup

The countdown to Zambia’s most electrifying music festival has officially begun as Zambian Breweries launches the Mosi Day of Thunder 2025 campaign. Set for April 26, 2025, at Busiku Grounds in Livingstone, the 8th edition of Mosi DOT promises an unforgettable experience with new and exciting pre-festival activities.

Zambian Breweries has unveiled a trio of thrilling experiences designed to build anticipation and engage festival-goers in an unprecedented way.

This year, the festival is embracing audience participation with Thunder Mashups, a unique initiative allowing fans to influence the event’s lineup. Eight of Zambia’s top artists—Towela Kaira, Xaven, Vinchenzo, Jae Cash, Triple M, 76 Drums, Chanda Na Kay, and JC Kalinks—have been shortlisted for exciting collaborations.

Fans can vote for their dream pairings on www.mosithunder.com, with the four most popular mashups heading to the studio to record exclusive new tracks ahead of the festival.

Festival lovers now have the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Livingstone, home to the breathtaking Mosi-oa-Tunya Falls and the inspiration behind Mosi beer. By purchasing any three Mosi beers at participating outlets, lucky winners will secure an exclusive MDOT weekend, packed with adventure and VIP festival access. The initiative aims to bring more Zambians, especially first-time visitors, to experience both the festival and the iconic falls.

New to this year’s event, Mosi Light is introducing the LIGHT UP Zone, a dedicated stage for high-energy DJ performances. Featuring an all-DJ lineup, the stage will showcase six local DJs and one regional act, delivering non-stop beats and an electrifying atmosphere tailored to festival-goers who love dance music.

“Mosi Day of Thunder is a movement that celebrates Zambian music culture and identity. With the introduction of Thunder Mashups, the Mosi DOT experience, and the LIGHT UP Zone, we are taking the 2025 edition to new heights. We can’t wait to bring Zambians together for a truly thunderous experience,” said Zambian Breweries Country Head of Marketing, Susan Luneta.

With just weeks to go, anticipation is building for what promises to be the biggest and most dynamic edition of Mosi Day of Thunder yet. Music lovers and festival enthusiasts are encouraged to participate, vote, and prepare for an unforgettable celebration of Zambian music and culture.
