MTN and Huawei Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive Africa’s Digital Future
MTN Group and Huawei have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance Africa’s digital transformation. The agreement, announced during MWC Barcelona 2025, aims to explore opportunities in advanced connectivity solutions, cloud technologies, and digital infrastructure to foster sustainable digital development across the continent.
The MoU solidifies the long-standing collaboration between MTN and Huawei, with a focus on enhancing network reliability, improving service quality, and expanding digital access to underserved communities in Africa.
Mazen Mroué, Group Chief Technology and Information Officer of MTN, expressed the company’s vision for a connected Africa:
