Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko to Deliver Agenda-Setting Keynote Address in February 2025
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reaffirmed its role as a Partner and Co-Host of the upcoming Sports Africa Investment Summit (SAIS) 2025. Under the leadership of Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko, the NSC remains steadfast in advancing the summit’s mission of leveraging sports to drive economic growth and social transformation across Africa.
SAIS 2025, now scheduled for February 17th and 18th, will align with the Commission’s renewed vision of fostering a sustainable and inclusive sports ecosystem in Nigeria. The rescheduling aims to optimize public sector engagement and enhance resource mobilization efforts.
In a statement addressing the summit’s postponement, Mallam Shehu Dikko emphasized the NSC’s commitment to aligning the event with its strategic goals:
“The National Sports Commission is committed to shaping a sustainable and inclusive sports ecosystem in Nigeria. The decision to postpone SAIS reflects our desire to align this summit with our renewed vision and ensure that public sector engagement is maximized. This extra time will enable us to strategically mobilize resources, foster collaborations, and demonstrate leadership in the sports investment space.”
A key highlight of SAIS 2025 will be Mallam Dikko’s agenda-setting keynote address on February 17th, which will outline the Commission’s strategy to reposition sports as a robust economic sector powered by innovative business models. His address will reaffirm the NSC’s role as a catalyst for economic and community transformation in Nigeria and across the continent.
Additionally, Mallam Dikko will contribute his insights as a panelist in two pivotal breakout sessions:
- Facilities, Stadiums, and Arenas: The Sports Infrastructure Strategy for Industry Development
- Accelerating Industrialization through Sports Development and Investments
These discussions will emphasize the NSC’s dedication to fostering public-private partnerships and leveraging sports as a driver of sustainable development.
Themed “Unleashing Africa’s Potential: Investing in Sports Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future,” SAIS 2025 will convene policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to explore transformative strategies aimed at unlocking Africa’s vast sports potential.
