Zambia Takes the Lead in Global Anti-Doping Discussions
Zambia has solidified its position as a global leader in the fight against doping in sports, with Mr. Kangwa Chileshe, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, chairing a high-level virtual meeting of the UNESCO Convention Against Doping in Sport Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG).
The meeting, attended by global anti-doping experts, focused on refining key recommendations to enhance the impact, governance, and sustainability of the UNESCO Convention Against Doping in Sport.
These deliberations will shape the forthcoming global consultations, paving the way for stronger international anti-doping frameworks.
Mr. Chileshe emphasized Zambia’s unwavering commitment to fostering a doping-free sporting environment, promoting fair play, and safeguarding athletes’ integrity worldwide.
He highlighted the nation’s proactive role in international cooperation and its dedication to upholding the principles of the UNESCO Convention.
