Zambia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Highlights Key Diplomatic Achievements
Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, S.C., M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, outlined Zambia’s diplomatic milestones during an interview on One on One with Ambassador Frank Mutubila on Prime Television.
The Minister provided insights into Zambia’s foreign policy priorities under President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership, emphasizing efforts to deepen bilateral and multilateral ties.
Key achievements highlighted included the endorsement of Zambia’s Dr. Samuel Munzele Maimbo by SADC and COMESA for the African Development Bank (AfDB) Presidency.
Dr. Maimbo, a seasoned finance expert with 30 years of experience, is poised to bring transformative leadership to the institution. The AfDB elections are set for May 2025.
The Minister reaffirmed Zambia’s unwavering commitment to regional and global peace, security, and stability as essential pillars for economic growth.
He stressed the importance of Economic Diplomacy in fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, ensuring progress for the Zambian people.
