National Youth Games 2024 Conclude with a Grand Ceremony
The 2024 National Youth Games concluded on Friday evening in a spirited closing ceremony held at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, graced by the Minister of Youth, Sport, and Arts, Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP.
Over three days of intense competition, young athletes showcased remarkable talent and determination, earning accolades for their outstanding performances.
Minister Nkandu lauded the efforts of coaches, athletes, and officials, emphasizing their significant contributions to the event’s success. “Your hard work and dedication are commendable,” he stated, encouraging the athletes to uphold the values of good sportsmanship.
Highlighting the pathway to greater achievements, the Minister wished the best of luck to athletes selected to represent Zambia at the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Games in Namibia next year.
The event also drew prominent figures, including National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Director/CEO Sombwa Musunsa and Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts officials.
Simultaneously, Lusaka wrapped up activities at the OYDC Zambia, concluding a memorable edition of the games that united the nation’s youth in celebration of sports excellence.
