President Boko Highlights Strategic Path for Africa’s Economic Future at AEC 2024
President Duma Gideon Boko of Botswana delivered a powerful keynote address at the African Economic Conference (AEC) 2024, emphasizing Africa’s potential to transform challenges into opportunities amidst global economic uncertainty.
Speaking under the theme “Securing Africa’s Economic Future Amidst Rising Uncertainty,” President Boko highlighted the urgency of addressing issues such as climate change, internal conflicts, and economic volatility.
He called for leveraging Africa’s natural resources, empowering youth through education, and maximizing opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
“We must prioritize investments in our youth, innovation, and renewable energy to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable development,” he stated.
The conference, organized by the African Development Bank, UNECA, and UNDP, focuses on fostering dialogue and partnerships to shape Africa’s future.
