Emirates Named ‘Best Airline in the World’ at ULTRAs 2024 Awards

Emirates has been awarded the title of ‘Best Airline in the World’ at the ULTRAs 2024 Awards, recognised by global travelers for its exceptional service, innovative products, and excellent value.

The accolade, presented at Kensington Palace in London, was accepted by Emirates executives Thierry Aucoc and Jabr Al-Azeeby, in a ceremony attended by leading figures in the travel industry.

In a statement, Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, expressed pride in the award, attributing the airline’s success to its investment in product upgrades, technology, and training: “We aim to elevate the travel experience at every step, and we’re thrilled that our customers see the value in flying Emirates.”

The ULTRAs recognition joins an impressive roster of recent awards, including ‘World’s Best Airline’ by Telegraph Travel and ‘Best International Airline’ by Forbes Travel Guide’s Air Travel Awards. Emirates also received the ‘2025 APEX World Class Airline’ distinction for its commitment to customer service, sustainability, and safety.

Emirates has invested billions in its fleet and lounge facilities. Eight aircraft, including A380s and Boeing 777s, have been refurbished, part of a $4 billion retrofit program. New premium lounges opened in London Stansted and Jeddah, while facilities in Paris were revamped.

Additionally, Emirates launched experiential travel stores in Hong Kong, London, and Paris to connect directly with customers.

The airline continues to expand its network, recently adding routes to Phnom Penh, Bogotá, and Madagascar, and reported record-breaking half-year financial results, having carried 26.9 million passengers across 148 destinations from April to September 2024.

Passengers onboard enjoy Emirates’ signature features, such as the A380 Shower Spa, the Onboard Lounge, and a renowned inflight entertainment system. Its ‘ice’ entertainment platform offers 6,500 channels and now includes podcasts and playlists in partnership with Spotify.
