Proflight Launches Direct Livingstone-Cape Town Flights

Proflight Zambia is set to enhance Southern Africa’s travel landscape with the introduction of direct flights between Livingstone and Cape Town starting December 1, 2024. The new route provides seamless connectivity between these two major tourist destinations.

With the new service, flights between Lusaka and Cape Town will now include a 30-minute technical stop in Livingstone. Passengers on this route will remain on board during the brief stopover, streamlining the travel experience.

According to Proflight’s Director of Flight Operations, Captain Josias Walubita, this launch is in response to rising demand for efficient travel linking Livingstone, home to the iconic Victoria Falls, with Cape Town.

“This service caters to the Livingstone tourism market, boosting connectivity and making access to South Africa even easier,” Captain Walubita said.

Initially, the Livingstone-Cape Town route will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. Flight P0 050 departs Lusaka at 06:40 hrs, stops briefly in Livingstone, and arrives in Cape Town at 11:10 hrs. Returning, Flight P0 051 departs Cape Town at 12:00 hrs, stopping in Livingstone before landing in Lusaka at 16:20 hrs.

Proflight has also added an extra Saturday flight for the holiday season, running from December 1 to January 5.
