Emirates Hosts Largest-Ever Passenger Sales Conference, Unveiling Ambitious Growth Plans
Emirates Airline welcomed over 850 commercial team members from around the world to Dubai for its Passenger Sales Conference 2024, the airline’s largest commercial gathering to date. Held under the theme “Next Era – Equip, Embrace, Excel,” the four-day event highlighted Emirates’ strategic vision for growth as it continues to expand its fleet, network, and global presence.
The conference brought together leaders from across the airline and aviation sectors, alongside industry experts and motivational speakers. The gathering served as a platform for top executives to inspire and guide the commercial teams in line with Emirates’ ambitious future plans.
HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, presented the prestigious Chairman Sales Award, recognizing individual and team achievements within the commercial division.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s expansive growth blueprint. “We have bold plans for Emirates, and the Passenger Sales Conference serves as the roadmap for how we’ll unlock new commercial opportunities, recalibrate our strategies, and leverage advanced technologies,” said Kazim. He also reinforced the airline’s commitment to enhancing team dynamics, seizing new market opportunities, and expanding its product offerings.
In his opening address, Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, shared insights on navigating business challenges while maintaining Emirates’ competitive edge. Key speakers included Adel Al Redha, Chief Operations Officer, Michael Doersam, Chief Financial Officer, and Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales.
A major highlight was a session by Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, who spotlighted the power of the iconic Emirates brand and its role in the airline’s future growth. Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects provided an update on the expansion plans for Al Maktoum International Airport.
The conference also featured sessions on revenue management, loyalty programs, and the Emirates-flydubai partnership, with a fireside chat between Kazim and flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith.
Participants were treated to keynotes from best-selling authors and motivational speakers, who highlighted the power of storytelling in sales and the importance of physical and emotional resilience in facing challenges.
On the final day, His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, outlined Dubai’s D33 agenda, aiming to position the city among the top three global destinations for living, working, and investing.
Emirates concluded a record financial year, driven by high demand for air travel. The airline is set to refurbish over 200 aircraft as part of its multi-billion-dollar investment in upgrading its fleet. New destinations, including Bogota and Madagascar, have been added to its expanding network, alongside the introduction of Premium Economy on select routes.
