Mosi Lager to Attempt Guinness World Record in Celebration of Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary

Zambian Breweries will attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most people simultaneously opening bottles on October 26, 2024, at R&G Arena.

The event, named Mosi Ku Chalo, will commemorate Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary and will feature Mosi Premium Lager, a symbol of national pride.

Zambian Breweries Country Director, Thais Cavinatto, announced the attempt, aiming to surpass the current record of 4,339 people set by Bavaria in Colombia.

“Mosi is more than just a lager—it’s a symbol of national pride. What better way to celebrate Zambia at 60 than by breaking a world record with the people who love Mosi the most?” said Cavinatto.

The event will be officially adjudicated by Guinness World Records representatives virtually.

For K100, attendees will receive a ticket, a limited-edition Mosi Ku Chalo T-shirt, a bottle opener, and two Mosi bottles. Tickets are available online via Quicket.

Zambian Breweries calls on beer lovers to unite and toast to the nation’s rich history, aiming to solidify Mosi Premium Lager’s place in both Zambian and global history.
