Zambia’s Ministry of Education has received a generous donation of 40,000 exercise books from Parrogate Zambia Limited, valued at K500,000. The books will be distributed to selected schools across all 10 provinces of the country.

Speaking during the handover, Education Permanent Secretary – Education Services, Joel Kamoko, highlighted the significance of the donation in enhancing learning opportunities for learners in foundational grades.

He emphasized that this gesture aligns with the government’s commitment to providing education for all, a policy that has seen over 2 million additional children enrolled in school.

“The Ministry of Education is dedicated to offering quality, equitable, and accessible education to all Zambian children. This donation will further our efforts to improve literacy and numeracy skills, essential for academic success and further education,” Mr. Kamoko stated.

Parrogate Ginneries Limited Corporate Affairs Manager, Emmanuel Mbewe, echoed these sentiments, stating that the donation reflects Parrogate’s commitment to contributing to the educational advancement of learners across the country.

“These exercise books are more than mere educational tools; they represent our commitment to fostering academic excellence, encouraging intellectual growth, and nurturing the potential of each learner. We hope these resources will facilitate diligent study, inspire creativity, and contribute to the holistic development of future leaders,” Mr. Mbewe said.

Parrogate Zambia Limited expressed their admiration for the government’s efforts to ensure that every child, regardless of geographical location, has access to the necessary resources to succeed in their educational journey.
