TDN Revolutionises Fuel Management Across Southern Africa

Fuel management presents a significant challenge in the expansive regions of Southern Africa, but TDN is set to transform this landscape. The innovative web app is reshaping diesel procurement across over 200 depots in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Zambia.

TDN introduces a digital fuel wallet specifically for diesel, enhancing security, efficiency, and transparency. Transport companies can set up accounts, register drivers and vehicles, and fund their main accounts, eliminating the need for cash handling and reducing theft risks.

The user-friendly system involves assigning drivers a one-time password (OTP) upon arrival at a depot, where fuel attendants receive details on the amount of fuel needed. TDN ensures depots are alerted in advance to guarantee fuel availability, with rigorous vetting of logistics companies and depots for quality and reliability.

Beyond fuel management, TDN supports e-toll payments, emergency fund transfers via bank accounts or mobile wallets, and provides 24/7 customer care. The app also features route recommendations, depot maps, and fuel discounts, making it a comprehensive solution for logistics companies.

Kees Kibinda de Kwaasteniet, Managing Director of TDN Zambia, emphasised the strategic importance of Zambia in logistics, noting, “Zambia is a hidden gem due to its central role in transportation. TDN aims to enhance fuel management control, provide affordable fuel, and support local businesses, creating jobs and fostering economic growth.”

He added, “By facilitating local currency payments and ensuring next-day payments for depots, we help strengthen regional economies and support local businesses.”

TDN’s platform also tracks mileage and fuel consumption, allowing companies to monitor and optimise operations. With plans for expansion into Tanzania and the DRC, TDN is poised to revolutionise fuel management across the continent, offering a safer, smarter, and more efficient approach to managing fuel needs.
