President Ruto Congratulates President Kagame on Re-election 

Kenya’s President William Samoei Ruto has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Paul Kagame on his re-election, praising the Rwandan leader for his role in transforming the nation. 

In a message shared on his Facebook page, President Ruto lauded Rwanda’s significant achievements over the past 30 years, highlighting its recovery from the devastation of the 1994 genocide and its progress in political, democratic, and economic spheres.

President Ruto emphasized Rwanda’s vital role in the East African Community (EAC), the African Union (AU), and the broader international community, noting its contributions to regional stability and development.

The inauguration ceremony, held at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda, was attended by several dignitaries, including President Ruto, who praised the people of Rwanda for their resilience and commitment to national progress.

“As a brother and a fellow leader in the region, I am deeply inspired by the strides Rwanda has made under your leadership,” President Ruto stated. “The people of Rwanda have shown incredible strength and determination, and their journey from the ashes of the 1994 genocide to a beacon of hope and development is nothing short of remarkable.”
