MISA Zambia Announces Partnerships for 22nd Platinum & Golden Media Awards
MISA Zambia is pleased to announce its partnership with Zambeef PLC and the Zambia Free Press Initiative (FPI) for the 22nd MISA Zambia Platinum & Golden Media Awards, scheduled for September 20, 2024.
Zambeef PLC has joined as a sponsor to acknowledge and encourage excellence in environmental, agricultural, and food security reporting. The company will sponsor two award categories: Best Environmental Reporting Award (Print and Electronic Media) and Best Reporting in Agriculture and Food Security (Print and Electronic Media).
The Best Environmental Reporting Award aims to recognize outstanding coverage of environmental issues in Zambia, including waste and pollution, forestry, fisheries, conservation, and chemical management.
This award will also highlight stories that demonstrate a thorough understanding of new developments in environmental conservation and their impact on human activities.
The Best Reporting in Agriculture and Food Security Award will honor stories that showcase a deep understanding of agriculture and provide comprehensive reporting on critical issues such as policies, research and innovations, market dynamics, climate change, biodiversity loss, access to inputs and markets, soil health, and socio-economic aspects.
In addition, MISA Zambia has partnered with the Zambia Free Press Initiative (FPI), which will sponsor the Most Outstanding Climate Change Award (Print and Television). This award aims to recognize journalists who champion climate action and promote climate change reporting, supported by Hivos Southern Africa.
Zambeef PLC and FPI join several other organizations in supporting the 22nd edition of the Platinum and Golden Media Awards, including the European Union, USAID Local Impact Governance, PANOS Institute Southern Africa, Buy Zed Campaign, the Non-Governmental Coordinating Council, Securities Exchange Commission, Totum Solution Limited, Ideaholic, Kalemba, Otridah Kapona, and Platinum Media.
