Standard Chartered Bank Sponsors Africa Must Think Conference 2024 with K2.5 Million
The highly anticipated Africa Must Think Conference 2024, which had faced potential cancellation, has received a significant boost with a K2.5 million ($100,000) sponsorship from Standard Chartered Bank.
This generous contribution has reinstated the conference, themed ‘Time for Action,’ and positioned Standard Chartered Bank as the Platinum sponsor.
At the launch of the conference campaign, Standard Chartered Bank CEO, Mr. Sonny Zulu, commended the organizers for their tremendous efforts in promoting entrepreneurship.
He emphasized the bank’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit across Africa. Hon. Elias Mubanga, the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprise Development, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Madame Subeta Mutelo, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to supporting entrepreneurship and encouraged continuous efforts in championing this cause.
Dr. Alvert Ngandu, the Board Chairperson for DLN Entrepreneurship Institute, highlighted the positive impact of previous conferences on national development.
He expressed confidence that the 2024 event would further contribute to the growth and success of entrepreneurs in the region.
Scheduled for September 29, 2024, at the National Heroes Stadium, the Africa Must Think Conference 2024 aims to set a new Guinness World Record as the largest entrepreneurship conference in history, with an anticipated attendance of 120,000 people.
The event, spearheaded by Dumisani L Ncube – The Radical Entrepreneur, is expected to be a landmark moment in the history of entrepreneurship in Africa, as it will bring together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers to challenge the status quo and foster innovative thinking and action.
