Emirates Skywards Elevates Loyalty Experience with New Initiatives

Emirates Skywards, one of the world’s most valuable loyalty programmes, continues to set new standards in the industry with innovative features and a customer-centric approach. With a global membership base of 33 million, including 47,131 members from Zimbabwe, Emirates Skywards has introduced several enhancements that further enrich the loyalty experience. 

Skywards Exclusives offers members the chance to use their Miles for hospitality tickets and VIP experiences at prestigious sporting events such as the US Open, Roland-Garros, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Wimbledon. Recently, 

Emirates Skywards expanded its lifestyle partnerships, allowing members to explore Sri Lanka’s lush tea plantations with Dilmah Tea and the picturesque vineyards in France with LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton). Additional unique experiences are set to be announced soon. 

The popular Cash+Miles feature now allows members to instantly reduce the cash required for flight tickets on any fare, any day. By logging into emirates.com before booking, members can access personalized rates and save up to three times more. This feature has been extended to include ancillary products such as preferred seat selection, excess baggage allowance, and lounge access worldwide. 

The Skywards Everyday app enables members to earn Skywards Miles across 300 partners in various sectors, including dining, shopping, entertainment, and services. The app, relaunched with an improved interface, allows members to link up to five Visa or Mastercard debit or credit cards, doubling their Miles on transactions when using Emirates Skywards credit cards. Members can explore rewards from over 4,000 retail, lifestyle, and car rental partners, and access around 2 million hotels via travel partners. 

Members can earn Skywards Miles by shopping with over 2,800 brands on Skywards Miles Mall across the UAE, UK, USA, Australia, and India. Categories include food, fashion, beauty, electronics, health, wellness, travel, and more. The programme has also introduced a new way to spend Miles on gift cards, starting at just 2,000 Miles, allowing members to enjoy rewards with hundreds of brands. 

In addition to Emirates and flydubai, Skywards members can earn and redeem Miles with over 15 airline partners, including United Airlines, Air Canada, Azul, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and Condor. Economy Class Reward tickets across all partners have been reduced by 20%, with rewards now starting from just 8,000 Skywards Miles. Bookings can be made easily via emirates.com or contact centres. 

Emirates Skywards continues to receive accolades for its innovative products and initiatives. The programme has won over 50 awards, including “Global Loyalty Programme of the Year Middle East” at the International Loyalty Awards 2024 and “Middle East’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme” at the World Travel Awards 2024.  

Between March 2023 and March 2024, Emirates Skywards saw significant growth:

  • 33.1 million members, with 370 new members enrolling every hour.
  • 80.1 billion Skywards Miles earned, with more than 100,000 transactions daily.
  • 1.3 million flight rewards processed, with 1 in 8 tickets purchased using Skywards Miles.
  • 4.5 million Skywards Miles redeemed per hour.
  • 190,000 co-brand cardholders across the UAE, KSA, USA, and India.
