Hon. Mulambo Haimbe Advocates for Enhanced Korea-Africa Collaboration at Inaugural Summit
Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, SC, M.P, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, represented Zambia at the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs during the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Addressing the attendees, Hon. Haimbe stressed the imperative for increased collaboration and mutual understanding between Korea and Africa.
He highlighted the significance of addressing the challenges faced by both regions while seeking innovative avenues for partnerships and sustainable growth.
The minister’s intervention statement set the stage for the forthcoming Korea-Africa Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled from June 4th to 5th, 2024.
The summit, themed “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity,” aims to facilitate dialogue and cooperation between Korea and Africa on key issues of mutual interest.
At the summit, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, will be represented by Hon. Haimbe, underscoring Zambia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Korea and advancing the shared objectives of the summit.
