Zambian Breweries launched its Growing Retailers Innovatively Together (GRIT) initiative to train bar owners on responsible business practices and business management skills.

The program is part of the company’s wider Retailer Development Programme aimed at building capacity and helping bar owners run successful businesses.

A cohort of 50 retailers from across Lusaka graduated from the three-day GRIT program. The program covered topics such as record management, stock management, beer mastery, sales and marketing, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance.

Zambian Breweries Country Director, Thais Cavinatto congratulated the graduates on their achievement and highlighted the importance of their role in the economy and community.

“By building strong businesses, you play a crucial role in the growth of our economy while promoting the wellbeing and safety of the ones we serve,” she said.

The retailers expressed their appreciation for the program. Kimberly Banda from Golden Pub Matero said the training helped her learn how to better manage her business and interact with customers.

Justina Miti from Chawama Chakanga bar said she was grateful for the opportunity to learn from experts and improve her business practices.

Zambian Breweries is committed to supporting its partners, the retailers, by providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the industry and contribute to the overall economic wellbeing of Zambia.
