Fashion Sakala Donates K700,000 to Support Football Tournament in Eastern Province

Fashion Sakala, a Zambian footballer currently playing in Saudi Arabia, has donated K700,000 to support a football cup competition in Zambia’s Eastern Province. 

The Eastern Province FAZ chairperson, Chrispin Kamuna, revealed this news in an interview with FAZ press.

In light of this donation, the competition will be renamed the “Fashion Sakala Tournament” in honor of the footballer. 

Kamuna expressed his excitement about Sakala’s contribution, highlighting the importance of such gestures in developing the sport.

He commended Sakala for giving back to his home province, where his football journey began.

Kamuna further stated that details regarding how the K700,000 will be distributed among participating teams will be announced soon.

This donation is a positive development for football in Zambia’s Eastern Province, showcasing a local player’s commitment to supporting his community.

Maybin Mboola W.T, the Communications Officer for FAZ Eastern Province, echoed Kamuna’s sentiments in a statement, affirming the excitement within the football community.

“Fashion Sakala’s commitment to giving back to his community is commendable,” Mboola stated. “His contribution will undoubtedly catalyze the growth of football in Eastern Province.”
