Milupi Happy with Kazungula-Sesheke Road Works

Infrastructure Minister Hon. Eng. Charles L. Milupi expressed satisfaction with the quality of workmanship on the ongoing maintenance works on the Kazungula-Sesheke Road.

Milupi inspected the project on Tuesday and commended the Road Development Agency (RDA) and the Zambia National Service (ZNS) for their work.

“This is the type of workmanship the Government would like to see,” he said.

Motorists who interacted with the Minister expressed their satisfaction with the project, saying it has significantly reduced travel time.

The Kazungula-Sesheke Road is part of a key trade route linking Zambia to Walvis Bay Port in Namibia and other countries in the SADC region.

The Zambian government through the RDA launched the maintenance works in June 2023 due to the road’s poor condition.

The 92-kilometer road project is being undertaken by both ZNS (54 kilometers) and RDA (38 kilometers), with an estimated completion date of June 2024.
