Zambia Prepares for Labour Day Celebration
As Zambia prepares to join the global community in commemorating Labour Day on Wednesday, 1st May 2024, the government has extended its heartfelt wishes to workers across various sectors nationwide for a memorable and meaningful celebration.
In a press statement issued by the Minister of Information and Media and Chief Government Spokesperson, Hon. Cornelius Mweetwa, MP, the government expressed its expectation for a significant turnout of workers to mark this important day.
Labour Day serves as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contributions of workers in driving progress, both nationally and globally.
Under the visionary leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, the government reiterated its unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the workforce in national development efforts.
