ABSA Encourages Saving Culture and Empowers Customers

Mizinga Melu, the Managing Director of Absa Bank Zambia, has emphasized the importance of developing a culture of saving to secure financial wealth and ensure a stress-free future for individuals and their families.

Speaking at the handover ceremony of the deposit campaign’s first draw winners at ABSA House in Lusaka, Ms. Melu highlighted the benefits of saving and encouraged people to prioritize it in their financial planning.

The campaign, launched in December 2023 and scheduled to run until April 2024, aims to incentivize saving among customers by offering 300 prizes worth 5000 Million Kwacha across the country.

Ms. Melu expressed excitement about the campaign, emphasizing Absa’s commitment to empowering its clients and enabling them to achieve their financial goals.

Ms. Melu emphasized that the campaign reflects Absa’s dedication to empowering its customers and giving back to the community through Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

She stated that the bank’s promise is to empower its clients, enabling them to build a secure financial future.

Naomi Mwenya, Absa’s Acting Director of Retail, highlighted that winners have been selected from various towns across Zambia, including Mongu, Chipata, and the Copperbelt.

She outlined the campaign’s objectives to empower clients by providing prizes such as grocery hampers, school hampers, and motorbikes, with an initial injection of 5 million US dollars.
