President Ramaphosa Extends Warm Chinese New Year Wishes to China
President Cyril Ramaphosa of the Republic of South Africa extended heartfelt wishes to the Government and people of the People’s Republic of China, as well as the Chinese community within South Africa, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, which commenced on Saturday, February 10th, 2024.
President Ramaphosa conveyed his warmest regards to the Chinese leadership under the stewardship of His Excellency President Xi Jinping, emphasizing the longstanding partnership and friendship between South Africa and China.
He expressed his hope that the Year of the Dragon would bring forth vitality, hope, and abundant opportunities across China and within Chinese communities worldwide, including those residing in South Africa.
The President expressed eagerness to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations and foster deeper bonds of friendship and understanding among their peoples in the coming year.
He extended wishes for continued prosperity, innovation, and the promotion of peace and development on a global scale for the People’s Republic of China.
President Ramaphosa concluded his message by expressing hope that the upcoming weeks of celebration and social gatherings associated with the Lunar New Year would be marked by joyous festivities and a sense of rejuvenation, signaling the beginning of a year characterized by fortune and progress.
