Emirates Sweeps ULTRAs 2023 Awards, Crowned ‘Best Airline in the World’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East

Emirates, the Dubai-based carrier, has secured a double victory at the ULTRAs 2023 Awards, being named the “Best Airline in the World” and the “Best Airline in the Middle East.”

The prestigious awards, which recognize excellence in the travel industry, were bestowed upon Emirates based on thousands of votes from global travelers who commended the airline for its exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and top-notch products.

Thomas Ney, Divisional Senior Vice President of Service Delivery at Emirates, accepted the awards at a ceremony held at the Nikki Beach Club in Dubai. The event, attended by prominent figures in the travel industry, celebrated Emirates’ commitment to providing world-class travel experiences.

Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, expressed delight at the recognition and highlighted the airline’s continuous efforts to elevate its services. Over the past year, Emirates introduced 10 retrofitted A380s with new cabin interiors and Premium Economy seats, expanded its global network to over 140 destinations, and launched innovations such as a new city check-in facility and a meal pre-ordering service.

Nick Perry, Chairman of Ultratravel, acknowledged the stiff competition in the luxury travel sector and praised Emirates for maintaining its top position, emphasizing the airline’s impressive achievement in 2023.

Emirates’ dedication to providing exceptional travel experiences is reflected in its recent initiatives, including the introduction of a city check-in facility at Dubai International Financial Centre, the launch of a new route to Montreal, a meal pre-ordering service, and complimentary onboard Wi-Fi for Emirates Skywards members.

This latest recognition follows Emirates’ success at the 2024 APEX World Class Airline awards and the 2024 IFSA awards, where it was acknowledged for outstanding customer service, safety standards, sustainability, and onboard amenities.

As the operator of the world’s largest fleet of wide-body Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, Emirates continues to lead the industry with spacious cabins, iconic features like the A380 Shower Spa and Onboard Lounge, and a record-breaking performance for the first half of 2023-24, serving over 26 million passengers worldwide.

Emirates’ passengers can expect a premium experience on board, including the warmth of a multinational crew, gourmet cuisine, and an award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice, offering an extensive selection of movies, TV shows, podcasts, and more. For further details, visit emirates.com.
