Mizinga Melu Crowned SADC CEO of the Year at African Bank 4.0 Awards in Johannesburg
ABSA Bank CEO Mizinga Melu clinched the esteemed title of Southern African Development Community (SADC) CEO of the Year at the African Bank 4.0 Awards in Johannesburg.
In a statement issued by Tamara Nyirenda, First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High Commission in South Africa, the award, renowned for recognizing visionaries in the Fintech, banking, and financial services sector across the SADC region, acknowledges Ms. Melu’s exceptional leadership and her impact on the diverse SADC region.
Ms. Melu’s triumph was part of a broader celebration of excellence, with Mwangala Muyoyeta of Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank named SADC’s best Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Mukwandi Chibesakunda, CEO of Zambia National Commercial Bank, receiving the Zambia CEO of the Year award.
Emphasizing the importance of women competing at the international level, Ms. Melu expressed hope that her achievement would inspire other women to excel.
