Emirates Partners with Beirut Basketball Club as Official Airline and Jersey Sponsor
Emirates is teaming up with the Beirut Basketball Club as their Official Airline and jersey sponsor for the next three seasons. This partnership reaffirms Emirates’ enduring commitment to promoting basketball in Lebanon and the wider region, connecting with basketball enthusiasts across geographies.
To kick off this partnership, Emirates and the Beirut Basketball Club hosted a special media event at a co-branded basketball court, where the club trains and plays its season games.
Tamador Kouatly, Regional Manager Levant for Emirates Airline, expressed the airline’s dedication to Lebanon and its fervent basketball community. Emirates is poised to support the Beirut Basketball Club as they participate in various regional and international tournaments, proudly sporting jerseys emblazoned with “Emirates Fly Better.” The collaboration also aims to inspire young athletes at the club to realize their full potential and foster grassroots activities to nurture talent.
Nadim Hakim, President of the Beirut Basketball Club, expressed immense pride in having Emirates Airline as their main sponsor for the next three seasons. He underscored the significance of partnering with a global sports leader like Emirates and the shared goal of positively impacting communities and providing opportunities for talented youth.
Emirates’ sponsorship rights include prominent placement of its “Emirates Fly Better” logo on player jerseys, digital and static court branding during Men’s and Women’s matches, TV and broadcast exposure, digital and social media activation on the club’s platforms, player access, and game ticket allocation.
The Beirut Basketball Club will participate in several local and regional leagues and tournaments. The Men’s team will join the Lebanese Basketball League, the Lebanese Cup, the Arab Championship, and the Dubai International Tournament. The Women’s team will compete in the Lebanese Basketball League, having won the Arab Women’s Club Championship three times consecutively.
Emirates will also extend support to the U-18 and academy teams, fostering young talent from various communities in Lebanon.
The Beirut Basketball Club, founded in 2016, aims to promote inclusion among Lebanese sports enthusiasts. Emirates has a history of successful collaboration with the club, sponsoring their participation in the Dubai International Tournament and featuring the “Emirates Fly Better” slogan on their jerseys in 2019.
Emirates has been a steadfast supporter of basketball since 1991, partnering with the UAE Basketball Association as Sponsor and Official Airline. The airline has sponsored the Dubai International Basketball Championship for nearly three decades and hosted the FIBA World Championship in the UAE in 2014. Teams sponsored by Emirates have clinched victory in the International Basketball Championship seven times.
Furthermore, Emirates has been a proud supporter of the Lebanese Basketball League and sponsored top division teams through jersey and institutional sponsorships.
